oktoberfest
when i woke up this morning with a big headache, i swore off beer...again. every cell in my body was clamoring for sleep and a painkiller. but i had no choice, i had to go to work. and so i got up, but not before swearing off that yellow, foamy liquid again.
i knew going out on a weeknight with friends and drinking more than i normally do was not a smart thing to do. but what could i do? we were having a good time, laughing, gossiping and reminiscing. a few secrets were let out but we didn't care. i'm sure nobody would remember much about them anyway.
our own version of oktoberfest started out after K's wedding a few weeks ago. that night, i rediscovered the joy of alcohol-induced laughter (walang sense na tawanan) which i thought i had already outgrown. that night, i also rediscovered how good beer tasted, especially when fresh!
but for now, i'm off beer...until the next night out. as much as i love the taste of it, i've learned my lesson. no more drinking more than my limit. and if i do, i have to be sure i have no work the next day. that's my final resolve unless i find a quick cure for hangover. ;-)

tip from a drinker: NEVER drink beer with ice. order your beer very cold. it's the mixture of ice and beer that gives you a hangover.
i agree beer, just like wine, brandy or cognac is never drunk with ice.

tani, that pic was at kata's wedding. the drinking happened after that wedding pero it was just me, vna, frd, ogie and pen.
