eclipse

yesterday at work (no holiday for me), one of the clinic staff asked if i wanted to join them in watching the eclipse that night in gateway. i declined since i had some things to do.

today at work, our secretary and one of the residents were talking about seeing eclipse yesterday. i was obviously eavesdropping so they included me in the conversation...

secretary: ang daming tao sa eclipse kahapon.

me: (thought bubble) eclipse nanaman? mukhang uso manuod ng eclipse...

resident: san ba kayo?

secretary: nagpunta kami sa greenbelt and glorietta. ang dami tao!

resident: kaw doc kero, napanuod mo?

me (feeling nakikiuso): ano ba yon, lunar or solar eclipse?


then suddenly, they both burst out laughing! and i was like...what's so funny?!

i feel so old...
